FAQs

Yes. Care is delivered by clinicians licensed in the states where they practice, prescriptions are filled by licensed pharmacies, and your information is handled under HIPAA.
A licensed clinician. Arōe is founded and led by Lauren Hawkins, RN, CCRN, and every plan is built by a licensed clinician around your intake, your goals, and your labs where relevant.
Your clinician recommends based on your intake and your goals, and only that. You can change, pause, or cancel through your patient portal at any time, and membership is optional.
Both. See a licensed clinician online with treatments shipped to your door, visit our SoHo clinic at 172 Prince Street, or book an at-home visit in select cities.
It depends on your treatment. Most plans include a clinician check-in monthly or every three months, and your care team is available around the clock in your patient portal.
Pricing depends on the treatment and is shown in full before you check out, then again in your patient portal. Arōe does not bill insurance, but we can provide an itemized receipt for HSA, FSA, or reimbursement requests.
If your clinician prescribes a treatment, it is sent to a licensed compounding pharmacy and shipped directly to the address on file. Compounded medications are prepared individually for you by a state-licensed pharmacy. Because they are made to a clinician's prescription rather than mass-produced, the FDA does not review compounded medications for safety, effectiveness, or quality. Tracking is in your patient portal.
Your intake goes to a licensed clinician for review. If approved, your prescription is sent to a licensed compounding pharmacy and ships directly to you, with tracking in your patient portal. If your clinician needs more information, they will message you first in your patient dashboard.
Sometimes. Some treatments, such as TRT, require lab work before a clinician can review your chart. When that applies, labs are added to your cart at an additional cost. In other cases your clinician will decide after reviewing your intake and coordinate with you in your patient portal. Labs can be drawn at our NYC clinic or at home in select cities.
Choose a treatment or take the product finder quiz, then complete a short medical intake at checkout. A licensed clinician reviews your history and goals, and if prescribed, your treatment is sent to a compounding pharmacy and ships directly to you. From there, everything lives in your patient portal.
You can add a treatment to your cart and check out, but every treatment is clinician-prescribed. A licensed clinician reviews your intake before anything is prescribed or shipped.
Membership is a comprehensive quarterly care plan, as an alternative to purchasing one treatment at a time. It includes lab work every six months, 15% off all treatments, and ongoing clinician care that evolves your full plan over time, spanning GLP-1s, HRT, and FDA-approved peptides. Members also receive access to events, founder-led seminars, discounts on in-person care, and more. Membership launches soon. Join the waitlist on our Memberships page to be first in.
Arōe serves patients 18 and over in the states where our clinicians are licensed, and some treatments vary by state. You will see availability when you start your intake.
Your clinician checks in monthly or every three months depending on your treatment, and adjusts your next medication renewal if needed. Your care team is available around the clock in your patient portal, where refills, questions, and plan updates all happen.
Yes. A non-refundable clinician review fee of $59 is charged at checkout and covers your intake review and prescribing decision. If prescribed, treatment cost is billed separately.
A set of questions about your health history, current medications, and goals. A licensed clinician reviews it, may follow up with you in your portal, and decides whether the treatment is appropriate. Completing it does not guarantee a prescription.
