Key takeaways
- Mobile IV therapy is an intravenous infusion administered at home, in a hotel, or at an office by a licensed clinician, most often a registered nurse, rather than in a clinic.
- The clearest use is replacing fluid and electrolytes when you can't keep enough down, or when dehydration from illness, travel, or a hangover is already underway.
- Vitamin-added drips deliver nutrients directly into your bloodstream, but they aren't a substitute for food, rest, or care for an underlying condition.
- Mobile IV therapy in major U.S. cities typically starts around $100–$250 for basic hydration and rises for specialized formulas. Arōe's mobile menu runs from $290 for hydration to $950 for NAD+ Deluxe.
- If you want clinician-led care without a clinic trip, book a mobile visit. If something urgent is going on, seek emergency care instead.
You're run down, behind on sleep, or just off a rough stretch of travel, and someone has suggested IV therapy. The question worth asking before you book one is whether it's the right call for how you're feeling.
Mobile IV therapy has become an easy thing to book and a hard thing to book well. Most services will send a bag to your door within the hour. Fewer will ask what's actually been going on before they do.
Arōe's mobile concierge brings the infusion to your home, hotel, or office: a registered nurse, a clinician-reviewed plan, and an unhurried hour. In this guide, we'll cover how an Arōe mobile visit works, what it costs, and where we come to you.
What is mobile IV therapy?
Mobile IV therapy is a medically guided service that delivers intravenous hydration, vitamins, electrolytes, or NAD+ to your home, hotel, or office. Most visits take between 30 minutes and a couple of hours, depending on the protocol.
People book mobile IVs to refuel when they're feeling depleted, before a big day or night ahead, or to reset after a hard stretch.
At Arōe, a mobile visit runs on the same clinical standards as our in-person care, delivered to fit your life, on your schedule, in your space.
When IV therapy is the right call
IV therapy helps most after illness, hard travel, or a stretch that's left you feeling depleted, when fluids and rest alone haven't been enough to reset the system.
It isn't a universal answer to fatigue, headaches, or feeling run down. Those symptoms have real causes worth understanding, sleep, stress, nutritional gaps, hormonal shifts, or something a lab panel would flag, and an infusion can mask them without supporting what's underneath. If the pattern is persistent, a medical consultation makes more sense than an infusion.
We'll help you decide which path fits. Share what's been going on when you book, and a clinician will tell you whether a mobile visit is the right next step, or whether something else deserves attention first.
A note on safety: An IV is a medical procedure. The intake and clinician review exist to catch anything in your history that would change the plan, or rule out a visit entirely. Mobile IV therapy isn't a substitute for emergency care. If you're experiencing severe symptoms, that's a call for medical attention.
How an Arōe mobile IV visit works
Our method is the same one we use across the practice: Assess, Design, Support. For a mobile visit it looks like this:
Assess: Request a time through the mobile concierge form or by calling or texting +1 (917) 265-8222. The intake covers symptoms, medications, and any conditions a clinician needs to know about, so your protocol is built on your history. A clinician reviews it before anything is scheduled, and you'll hear from us once that review is done. Nothing is dispatched on autopilot.
Design: On arrival your nurse checks vitals, reviews your intake with you in person, and confirms the protocol. Only then does the infusion begin. If your history makes the requested treatment a poor fit, that conversation happens first.
Support: A hydration or vitamin drip runs 30 to 60 minutes. NAD+ infusions take longer. Your nurse stays with you throughout, keeps an eye on how you're doing, and adjusts the rate as needed. When the infusion is finished, you'll get aftercare guidance before they leave. Most people feel replenished and ready to get on with their day.
The team behind your care
Arōe was founded by Lauren Hawkins, BSB, BSN, RN, CCRN, after a decade in oncology, critical care, and cardiac intensive care. She saw what happens when care begins too late, and built Arōe to help people plan ahead instead of react.
Medical director Tobi Ogundare, MD, is a board-certified internist with ten years in internal medicine and a particular focus on metabolic health. And when your plan calls for an individualized infusion, it's designed with primary nurse practitioner Michelle Dacto, BSN-RN, MSN-NP, ANCC, AGACNP-BC, who tailors each protocol to what your body needs.
With Arōe, you're in good hands.

For context: nationally, basic mobile hydration tends to run about $115–$250, vitamin drips $150–$350, and NAD+ from several hundred to $1,000 or more. In markets like New York, the Hamptons, and Los Angeles, prices run meaningfully higher across the board. Some providers fold travel into the drip price, others add a flat travel or convenience fee, and premium concierge services carry a larger mobile premium. What's included in the hour (clinical review, time on site, medications, travel) varies more than the headline price suggests.

What to look for in any mobile IV provider
Price and reviews narrow a list. They don't tell you how the visit is run. Before you book with us or anyone else, ask:
- Who reviews your intake, and who administers the IV on site?
- What happens if you're not an appropriate candidate?
- Are ingredients, dose, and limitations explained in plain language?
- Is the quoted price the full price, or are travel, medications, and add-ons extra?
- If this isn't a one-off, who holds your history the next time?
Care that comes to you: begin with Arōe
The point of mobile care is an hour that does not require a cab, a waiting room, or a second decision about where to be. You stay where you are. We bring the visit to that room.
Every mobile IV treatment is administered by a registered nurse working from a clinician-reviewed plan. At Arōe, the treatment you receive is the one your body needs. If an IV is the right call, we design the visit around it. If water, rest, testing, or the SoHo lounge is the better next step, we say that instead.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs):
Is IV drip therapy better than drinking water?
Not automatically. Mild dehydration is usually handled by drinking fluids. IV hydration becomes relevant when oral replacement is impractical or dehydration is severe. For vitamins and general wellness, bypassing digestion doesn't establish a superior health benefit in people without a specific deficiency.
How much should a mobile IV infusion cost?
Nationally, basic mobile hydration tends to run $100–$250, vitamin drips $150–$350, and NAD+ from several hundred to $1,000+. Mobile visits usually cost $50–$150 more than the same protocol in a clinic. What matters more than the headline number is what's included in the hour: who reviews your intake, who administers the IV, and whether medications and travel are extra.
Can a mobile IV help with a hangover?
An IV can replace fluid when you're dehydrated. A hangover is more than hydration alone. If dehydration is part of it, a visit like Sunday Scaries or Post Game Detox, both blends of fluids, electrolytes, and vitamins, may be appropriate after intake. Unusual or severe symptoms should be assessed, not assumed to be a routine hangover.
